US presidential election 2020: China, Russia and Iran are trying to influence the US election

A senior US intelligence official has warned that China, Russia, and Iran are among the countries seeking to influence this year's US presidential election. A statement from the US Department of Counter-Intelligence said foreign states were using "secret and influential" influence to influence voting. The statement said China does not want to see President Donald Trump re-elected, while Russia wants to harm Democratic candidate Joe Biden. It should be noted that the intelligence chiefs accused Russia of interfering in the 2016 elections. He says Russia wanted to help promote President Trump's campaign, which includes spreading misleading information online.

Russia has denied the allegations.

A statement from the US Department of Counterintelligence stated that "foreign powers are using a" secret and influential "influence to influence voting. At a news conference Friday, President Trump was asked what he had done about the news of election interference, saying "his administration is watching this closely." The announcement comes amid claims by President Trump about the dangers of mail or postal ballots. He has suggested that "voting be delayed to prevent the most flawed and fraudulent election in history, which has drawn strong reactions from members of his own party." It also complained by Democratic lawmakers that US intelligence agencies were not releasing information to the public about foreign interference in this year's vote. Republican President Trump wants to win the second presidential election. His opponent is Democratic candidate and former vice president Joe Biden.  William Ivanina, head of the National Counterintelligence (NCSC), issued the statement on Friday. "Some countries are trying to influence voter preferences, change US policies, create divisions in the country and erode the American people's confidence in our democratic process," Ivanina said.

However, he added that "it will be difficult for our opponents to interfere or manipulate the outcome of the election on a large scale." He said many countries are interested in who will win the US presidential election and have their likes and dislikes, but they are "mainly concerned about China, Russia, and Iran." "China does not want President Trump to win this election, so it is increasing its influence before the election," the statement said.  Russia, meanwhile, is trying to discredit Biden and other members of the anti-Russian establishment.  "Countries like Russia are also trying to promote President Trump's candidacy on social media and on Russian television," he added. He says Iran is spreading misinformation and anti-American material online to weaken US democratic institutions, overthrow President Trump and divide the country before the vote. Iran is making such efforts because it thinks that if President Trump is re-elected, US pressure on Iran will continue.  At Friday's press conference, President Trump said Russia could "try to interfere" in this year's election, but rejected the notion that Russia was probably trying to help him win a second term. "I think the last person Russia wants to see in the office is Donald Trump," he said, adding that "no one has ever been harder on Russia than he is."

"If I lose the election, China will be happy," he said, adding that "if Biden wins the election, he will take over our country." Several US intelligence agencies and officials have concluded that Russia helped influence the 2016 presidential election. Former FBI Director Robert Mueller, who was appointed special adviser to the election investigation, did not prove that President Trump was involved in the effort, but said that his report provided the president with the allegations. Can't be exempted from

A number of Trump campaigners have been jailed in connection with the Robert Mueller investigation.

The charges against former national security adviser Michael Flynn, who was accused of lying about contacts with Russian government officials, were dropped in July. An appeals court will hear the case again later this month. Roger Stone, an old aide and former adviser to US President Donald Trump, was accused by the US Department of Justice of lying to Congress, interfering in the proceedings, and interfering in Russia's 2016 presidential campaign. Allegations of pressure on witnesses were substantiated.
