Corona virus: Ban on educational institutions, activities other than marriage halls lifted in Pakistan

Following the government's decision in Pakistan, all business and leisure activities have started in all parts of the country from Monday, August 10, except for educational institutions and large gatherings, wedding halls. The four provinces of the country have issued their own notifications in this regard, according to which small and big businesses have started work on the condition of implementation of the government SOP. Pakistan saw a sharp decline in the coronavirus in July and the same trend continues in August. According to the latest figures, there were only more than 17,000 patients in Pakistan as of August 10, with a total death toll of 6,097. Since the case was diagnosed before February 2020, a total of more than 284,000 victims have been identified in the country. According to a statement issued by Sindh Province, marriage halls and educational institutions will reopen from September 15, while sports activities can be started immediately without spectators. The statement further said that activities in public transport, restaurants, hotels, cinema halls, etc. should be resumed but they would have to abide by the government's terms and conditions. According to a statement issued by the Punjab government's health department on August 9, all activities except marriage halls and educational institutions have been fully restored, but it is necessary to take full care of the regulations. The government said all business hours were before the start of the Code 19 epidemic. Religious gatherings were said to be possible only with the permission of the authorities. Governments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have also allowed all activities with security SOPs to formally start from August 10, in light of the National Command and Control Center's recommendations. Tourist rush has increased in the northern parts of the country since the tourism permit was granted and there are several kilometers long queues of vehicles.
