Dr. Ted Ross: I don't think reopening the state is wise at all

The head of the World Health Organization, Dr. Ted Ross, has said that unless more effective measures are taken, the number of coronavirus patients in Pakistan could reach two million by mid-July.
 In a video statement at the launch of the Pakistan National Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan, WHO Director-General Ted Ross said the effects of the corona virus on the economy could be devastating. ۔
He said that the number of poor could double due to the lockdown due to Corona, in this regard Pakistan, the United Nations and other agencies must move forward with a dynamic and comprehensive strategy.
Dr. Ted Ross added that the number of corona virus patients is increasing in Sindh and Punjab, which is putting significant pressure on the health system.
"At this juncture, we must focus on reducing the socio-economic and nutritional effects of the corona virus," he said.
