The government of Pakistan has started implementing the court orders regarding the advertisement of former Prime Minister and PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and in this regard, the Additional Attorney General has directed the Press Information Department to advertise the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The letter further said that due to persistent absenteeism, the court has ordered the release of Nawaz Sharif's advertisement. The letter, written by the Additional Attorney General, said that the advertisement should be published on October 19 in the Lahore and London editions of English and Urdu newspapers. It may be recalled that a two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court headed by Justice Amir Farooq, while initiating the proceedings to declare the former Prime Minister a fugitive, had ordered the Additional Attorney General to Advertisements of Nawaz Sharif's summons should be published and all the expenses incurred on it will be paid by the federal government. Court order: The advertisement should be published in newspapers with black ink. Referring to the order of the Islamabad High Court, the letter instructed that this advertisement should be published in black and white and quarterly page with black ink on the back page of both the newspapers. The letter also mentioned that the text of the advertisement should state that Nawaz Sharif is a fugitive from justice and through the advertisement, he is given one last chance to appear and the convicted appellant Nawaz Sharif should face court proceedings. The Islamabad High Court has directed the former prime minister to appear on November 24 in both the appeals. Earlier, the court was told that neither the former prime minister nor any of his sons had received an arrest warrant issued by the high court against Nawaz Sharif, after which the former prime minister was declared a fugitive.
