The President of Israel has extended a formal invitation to the Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates to visit Jerusalem. Al-Nahyan has been formally invited to pay an official visit to Jerusalem.

According to sources, Israeli President Rovin Rivlin has invited Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to visit Israel just a few days after the establishment of normal bilateral relations between his country and the United Arab Emirates. "I am very hopeful that the agreement reached between our two countries will help the region," President Rivlin wrote in a Twitter message with a picture of the invitation sent to the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and written in Arabic. It will help increase mutual trust among the people.

The United Arab Emirates is the fourth largest Muslim country in the world, the third-largest in the Arab world, and the first in the Gulf. Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan have already established regular and full diplomatic relations with Israel. Earlier in the day, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) began preparations for direct flights following an agreement with Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has said that preparations are being made to resume direct flights with the United Arab Emirates, which will pass through Saudi airspace. He said the agreement with the United Arab Emirates included operating flights. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu told reporters at Pan-Gurion Airport that there would be direct flights from Tel Aviv to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Later, the expected duration of flights will be reduced to three hours. He added that he sees many opportunities for tourism and investment with the UAE.
