Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Local administration recommends smart lockdown in Mansehra tourist sites after outbreak of measles virus

 The local administration has recommended a smart lockdown to the district administration after new cases of coronavirus were reported in recreational areas of Mansehra district in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.  Following the micro-smart lockdown in some areas of the provincial capital Peshawar, the Kagan Development Authority has now recommended the Deputy Commissioner Mansehra to implement smart lockdown in recreational areas where new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed. The authority also named the hotels and restaurants where the coronavirus has been found. According to details, coronavirus has been confirmed in 47 staff members of 28 hotels and restaurants in Naran, Sugarman, and Kagan, after which these hotels and restaurants have been sealed while the sampling process continues. A spokesman for the Kagan Development Authority told local media that so far more than 800 samples have been taken in Balakot, Garhi Habibullah, Mahandri, Sugarman, Kagan, and Naran areas of Balakot sub-division, out of which 47 people have tested positive for the virus. Has happened According to the authority, the virus has also been confirmed in the staff of four restaurants and hotels in Naran, including Moon Restaurant, Pak Punjab Tekka House, Dewan Khas Restaurant, Cecil Hotel, and Myanmar Hotel. Micro-smart lockdown has been implemented in six more areas of Peshawar following fears of the spread of the coronavirus. According to the notification of Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Muhammad Ali Asghar, a micro-smart lockdown will be enforced in six more areas of the provincial capital from 2 pm on August 17. Areas, where micro-smart lockdown has been implemented, include Hayatabad, Shaheen Town, Akbar Town, and Shami Road. According to the decision, in-and-out entry from these areas will be closed during the micro-smart lockdown. According to DC Peshawar, micro-smart lockdown is being implemented only in streets and small areas on the policy and instructions of the federal government. According to him, the purpose of this smart lockdown is to stop the spread of Corona. Micro-smart lockdown was imposed in these areas due to the emergence of new cases of Coronavirus. However, it has been decided to keep only groceries, medicines, general stores, ovens, and emergency service shops open in these areas. According to the notification, only five people will be allowed to offer congregational prayers in mosques in these areas. The district administration has issued a notification to install micro-smart lockdown in four more areas due to fears of coronavirus spread. These areas include Hayatabad, Anwar Asad Colony, and OPF Colony.

According to DC Peshawar, instructions have been issued to the area magistrate and police regarding the implementation of smart lockdown and legal action will be taken against the violators. According to officials, the district administration is cracking down on Peshawar for violating the code of conduct. Violations of the code of conduct include not wearing safety masks and rushing to shops and malls. According to Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, the administration sealed 28 shops, including Falak Sher Plaza, in the President's area for violating the code of conduct. The factory has sealed 230 shops in National Plaza while Self Mart, Faisal Store, Tahir Store, Mohmand Store, New China Bakers, Sheesh Mahal, Smart Care, and City Mart have been sealed in different markets of Hayatabad. Similarly, 18 shops including three mega marts on Charsadda Road and three mega marts on Ring Road were sealed.
