Corona virus: According to the head of the World Health Organization, it may take two years to eradicate the corona epidemic

 Speaking in Geneva on Friday, World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghibresis said it had taken two years to control the Spanish flu epidemic in 1918. But he added that advances in technology could help stop the virus "in less time." "Of course, more mail is more likely to spread the virus, but at the moment we have the technology and the knowledge to stop it," he said.  He emphasized the importance of "global unity". The deadly Spanish flu, which spread in 1918, killed 50 million people, while the coronavirus has so far killed about 800,000 people and infected more than 22.7 million.  Dr. Tedros called it a "criminal act" in response to a question about corruption in personal protective equipment during the epidemic. Protests erupted in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on Friday against alleged corruption during an epidemic, while doctors at several of the city's public hospitals went on strike over unpaid wages and a lack of safety equipment.  On the same day, the head of the World Health Organization's emergency programs warned that the spread of the coronavirus in Mexico was "clearly underestimated".

Dr. Mike Ryan said that only three out of 100,000 people in Mexico have had their corona tested, compared to 150 in 100,000 in the United States. According to Johns Hopkins University, Corona has killed 60,000 people in Mexico, the third-highest in the world. On the other hand, US presidential candidate Joe Biden has criticized US President Donald Trump for dealing with the epidemic in the country. "Our current president has failed in his primary duty to the nation, he has failed to protect us, he has failed to protect the United States," he said. He also stressed that if he becomes president, the use of masks will be made mandatory in the country.  More than 1,000 new deaths from the coronavirus were confirmed in the United States on Friday, bringing the total number of deaths to 173,490.

On Friday, several countries confirmed most cases of the corona. In South Korea, 324 new cases have been confirmed in a single day since March. Like previous infections, these cases have come from churches, museums, nightclubs, and bars, after which these places have been closed. Both Poland and Slovakia confirmed new cases on Friday, with 903 and 123 cases reported, respectively, while Spain and France have also seen a dramatic increase in corona cases in recent days. Lebanon has imposed a two-week partial lockdown, including a nighttime curfew. The lockdown came into effect after the country suffered the most since the onset of the epidemic.
