Explaining the details, Federal Minister Asad Umar said that six important points have been agreed in the National Coordinating Committee today. No decision has been taken yet regarding opening of public transport. Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked us to consider it further. Before the construction industry was opened, now we are going to the second phase which has been agreed upon. Asad Umar said that it was agreed to open small markets in the meeting from Saturday, shops will be opened in rural areas and neighborhoods where crowds are not likely to gather. He said that one of the proposals was to allow shops to open after Iftar but now it has been agreed that shops will be allowed to open from 5 am to 5 pm, two days a week when all markets are closed. Only medical stores and essentials will be allowed to trade during this time. Asad Omar said that the OPDs of the hospitals were closed but now it has been agreed to reopen them as well. The schools were closed till May 31 but now it has been agreed not to open them for a month and a half.
Elaborating further, Hamad Azhar said that it was decided in the meeting that shops belonging to the industries which will be opened from Saturday will also be opened. He said that pipe mills, paint factories and units, ceramics , Sanitary and tiles, electric cables, steel and aluminum industries have been agreed to open, in addition to hardware stores will also be opened. Hammad Azhar said that the shops in the villages of Pakistan have also been allowed to open while the small markets in the neighborhoods will also be open from Saturday. Hammad clarified that the opening period of the shops is after dawn. From 5pm to 5pm, there will be a full holiday two days a week, all businesses will be closed on that day, while only medical stores and essentials shops will be open.
