The storm has not come, but is coming

Will defend big businesses if treated unfairly, says Rahul Gandhi ...
Rahul Gandhi, former president of India's political party Congress, addressed a press conference on Saturday via video call. Highlights from his press conference are as follows:
The storm has not come, but is coming. There will be huge economic losses right now and everyone will be affected.  Debt is mentioned in the Centre's economic package, but it will not increase demand. If we do not pay and demand does not increase, then the country will suffer a severe economic crisis, which will be a big loss to Corona. Until this money reaches the people, the problem will not be solved. The priority should be to get the money into the pockets of the people. This package should be reviewed.
The situation now is that both supply and demand have stalled. You can start supplying but not increasing demand will be detrimental. For this, people must have money in their pockets. Remember that the engine needs fuel to run, without it it will not start.
Even after the announcement of the economic package, people are worried, not relieved. This is because it is a loan package. The money has not been given yet and when it is given it will be in the form of a loan. While the need is to pay now.
This is not the time for accusations. The problem is huge. I do not want to blame. If the BJP is in government, they have more resources and more responsibilities. It is our responsibility to help people. It is very important that we give them money and hold their hand.
Lockdown has to be done, but it has to be done very carefully. This is not a step but a complex one. We can't afford to sacrifice people who are elderly, have heart, kidney and lung diseases. It would be a huge loss if we lifted the lockdown without thinking.
