'Pakistani community could be more affected' in UK

Pakistani community in UK at high risk for coronavirus - Newspaper ...
A recent study found that other minority groups in the UK, including the Pakistani community, may be more vulnerable to coronavirus and lockdown and are at greater risk.
The study found that people from Pakistan in the UK had a 2.9-fold higher hospital death rate than the white population.
Older Bangladeshis, Pakistanis and black Caribbeans are more prone to other diseases than the rest of the UK population.
Minority groups are more likely to be affected by the lockdown, and research suggests that the incomes of British citizens of Pakistani and Bangladeshi descent working for themselves could vary.
It also said that Pakistani and Bangladeshi women who depend on their husbands' income could also face difficulties during the lockdown.
