Government announces construction of Diamer Bhasha Dam

The government has announced the construction of Diamer Bhasha Dam, which will create 16,000 jobs.

Chairman C-Pac Authority and Assistant Special Information Lieutenant General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa in a tweet announced the start of construction of Diamer Bhasha Dam. He said that this is great news for all generations of Pakistan, it will also be a stimulus for our economy.

He said that Diamer Bhasha Dam project would create 16,000 jobs. The project will generate 4,500 hydel power and irrigate 1.2 million acres. With the construction of Diamer Bhasha Dam, the age of Tarbela Dam will be increased by 35 years.
