Germany eases lockdown, extends emergency in Spain

Germany has eased its lockdown, while Russian doctors have returned from Italy.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel says all shops in Germany can now be opened. Now people can meet and eat in public places. People can now visit their relatives in care homes.  In Germany, children will be able to go to school before the summer holidays, ie educational institutions will be opened.

Above all, it will now reopen at the end of this month after a government permit from Germany's largest football league in Europe.

Officials will formally announce a date on Thursday.

Russia is now withdrawing its medical teams from Italy.
