Germany: The number of actual cases could be as much as 10% higher than official figures

The number of people infected with the virus in Germany could be ten times higher than official figures, according to a new study.

Researchers at the University of Bonn estimate that 1.8 million people have been infected. The number of confirmed cases in Germany is 160,000.

This research will be reviewed by other researchers. The study included 919 people from Heinz, the country's most affected area.

The study also found that one in five infected people had no symptoms.

Lock downs in Germany are being eased and zoos, museums and barber shops have opened. Some students are also returning to school.
