Star Imtiaz announced for the team that saved Pakistan from 1.2 billion fine

 

The highest civil award, Sitara-e-Imtiaz, has been announced for the team that saved Pakistan from a 1.2 billion fine. An investigative team comprising Brigadier Rana Irfan Shakeel Rame, Lt. Col. Farooq Shahbaz, and Ahmed Irfan Aslam collected evidence of Turkish rental power company Clarke's corruption from Swiss, Lebanese and Dubai banks. On the other hand, the team also obtained documents from Panama and the British Virgin Islands. The team not only forced the Turkish rental power company Karke to withdraw cases against Pakistan from six international organizations but also caused financial loss to Pakistan in international forums. Saved The investigation team was headed by Brigadier Rana Irfan Shakeel Rame, while the team will be awarded on March 23.  Recipients of the award include Jack Ma, owner of Alibaba Company, who has been awarded the Quaid-e-Azam Award. In addition, renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel will be awarded the Presidential Medal for Excellence. Senior lawyer Naeem Bukhari and former cricketer Abdul Qadir will be given star distinction.
