The Chinese ambassador to Israel was found dead at home

Chinese Ambassador to Israel Du Wei found dead in his apartment ...
According to Israeli media reports, Chinese Ambassador to Israel Do Wei was found dead at his home in the capital, Tel Aviv.  According to Israeli media, Doe, 58, was found dead in his bed, but the cause of death has not yet been determined.  Dove was appointed ambassador to Israel in February, having previously served as China's ambassador to Ukraine.  The Chinese ambassador was married and had a son, but it is thought his family did not live with him in Israel. He lived in Herzliya, a suburb of the capital Tel Aviv. An Israeli police spokesman told Reuters that "police units are on the scene as per normal police procedures."  Israel's Channel 12 TV said on condition of anonymity that the initial indications were that Doe had died of natural causes while asleep.
The Chinese embassy in Israel has a statement on its website in which it praised Sino-Israeli relations, the world's second-largest economy, after its appointment as ambassador. On Friday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was sharply criticized by his embassy for criticizing China's response to the global coronavirus outbreak during a recent visit to Israel.  In a response published in the Jerusalem Post, the embassy condemned Pompeo's "ridiculous statement" and denied that China had initially tried to cover up the corona virus crisis.
